Founded in 2018 on the Siksika Nation, Niitsitapi Company is more than a clothing brand. It is a cultural movement. Established by Payne Many Guns at just 16 years old, the company was born from a vision to bridge the gap between modern entrepreneurship and the enduring strength of Blackfoot culture.

Our name, Niitsitapi, translates to "The Real People," a Blackfoot term that honours the identity, history, and resilience of the Blackfoot people. Through our signature apparel and the iconic Niitsitapi logo, our brand serves as a bridge for everyone to honour authentic identity and cultural resilience. We believe that what you wear should be a powerful reflection of who you are and the heritage you carry.

Niitsitapi Company’s mission extends far beyond apparel. We are committed to the active revitalization of the Blackfoot language through the development of modern educational resources. This commitment was solidified with the release of Siksika Otaawahsinnowa, the first Blackfoot children’s book written and illustrated by Payne Many Guns and translated by Colleen Sitting Eagle. By integrating storytelling, literature, and design, Niitsitapi Company continues to inspire a new generation to reclaim their voice and carry Blackfoot culture forward
