Heather is from the Kainaiwa Nation and her Blackfoot name is O’ta’kitsowaki, given by her grandparents. She is also known as Buffalo Stone Woman – Iinisskimaakii. Buffalo Stone Woman symbolizes a changing tourism landscape, providing genuine, immersive experiences. We share stories of our ancestors and our connection to the land, animals, and each other. Guests can enjoy our laughter, generosity, life experiences, and efforts for reconciliation now and in the future. The main message is understanding our spirituality and how we connect to the land and our values of Respect, Love, Bravery, Honesty, Truth, Wisdom, and Humility. Our ancestors have paved the way for future generations, and we are excited to share this with visitors. Come explore Treaty Seven Territory through the rich stories of the prairies, foothills, and Rockies where our ancestors and we still walk today.
